The long awaited arrival of Max Murray‘s music theatre work ‘Georgic’ is almost here with performances in Boston and Montreal (15th and the 18th of April). The piece is a product of Max’s PhD, and his residency at Harvard University Art Lab. I will be teaming up with members of Jetpack Bellerive to perform in the Harvard Film Study Centre in Boston, and later in the week playing in the No Hay Banda series. Situated within the theatrical work I will be performing a piece written for me by Max called ‘Ajax‘, written in 2017. Taking the American plains landscape as its subject, ‘Georgic’ is a foreboding reflection on the nineteenth century pastoral imaginary.
